Milestones in the company's history

2015/2017
New projects for FILTRONtec:
Several requests come in from Asia and Australia. Our team designs air filters for road tunnels in Korea, the People's Republic of China and Australia.

2014
FILTRONtec active in Hong Kong:
The founding of our Hong Kong subsidiary, FILTRONtec Limited, strengthened our position in the Asian market. We were commissioned by the construction company Leighton Joint Venture Ltd. in Hong Kong to install eight air filter systems in the Central-Wan Chai Bypass tunnel. The owner is the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The tunnel is scheduled to go into operation in 2019.

2010
FILTRONtec completes filter plant in Sydney:
The air filter unit for the M5-East tunnel went into operation on schedule on 21 April 2010.

2009
FILTRONtec goes Down Under:
After being successful in a world-wide technical qualification contest in 2004, we were commissioned by the Road and Traffic Authority (RTA) (now Roads & Maritime Services (RMS)) to install an air filter system near the Western portal of the existing M5-East tunnel in Sydney (Australia). In this context, we set up our subsidiary FILTRONtec Pty Ltd, based in Sydney.

2007/2008
Madrid relies on FILTRONtec:
In Madrid, our three installed exhaust air filter systems were put into operation in the Calle M30 Rio tunnel. Thanks to the new tunnel, part of the former ring road has been repositioned underground and a new space for a green oasis created in the heart of the Spanish capital.

2006
FILTRONtec grows with a branch office, a subsidiary and a major contract:
We set up a branch engineering office in Wolfen-Bitterfeld in Saxony-Anhalt. In addition, our subsidiary FILTRONtec ESPAÑA, S.L. was founded to reinforce our presence in Southern Europe. We were therefore very well positioned to receive a contract from the City of Madrid to plan and install three exhaust air filter systems in the Calle M30 Rio tunnel.

2005
Netherlands:
We designed an exhaust air filter system for a city tunnel in Leiden (Netherlands).

2004
FILTRONtec successful in a world-wide competition:
The Australian Road and Traffic Authority (RTA) selected us, along with two other companies, to handle the planning and installation of an air filter system for the M5-East tunnel in Sydney out of a total of 13 applicants.

2003
Mont Blanc tunnel:
Working with the French engineering company SCETAUROUTE (Annecy), we designed an air filter system for the 11.4 kilometre Mont Blanc tunnel.

2001
FILTRONtec know-how in the Tiergarten Tunnel:
As an alternative, we developed a modern exhaust air filter system for the Tiergarten Tunnel instead of an exhaust air stack solution on the forecourt of Berlin's main station.

2000
FILTRONtec in the service of clean air:
FILTRONtec GmbH is founded in Starnberg near Munich by two partners from consulting engineers DR. DICKELS & PARTNER

1994
Hamburg builds on DR. DICKELS & PARTNER:
The Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg commissioned DR. DICKELS & PARTNER to develop and test a pilot filter system for cleaning the tunnel exhaust air at the Elbtunnel. The project was funded by the Federal Ministry of Education, Research and Technology (BMFT).

1982
DR. DICKELS & PARTNER – Specialists in innovative power generation plants:
Founded in Starnberg near Munich, the engineering company DR. DICKELS & PARTNER is established by Dr. Dickels and Dr. Vinz. The aim of the company is the planning and design of innovative energy generation plants.
